Celebrating St. Luke's 250th Anniversary
St. Luke, the physician of folks, Wrote the words our Savior spoke and of healings from our Lord's hands All across the Holy Land. Seven brave farmers had arrived in Lanesborough to abide Since Anglican by bent found Puritans were they went In seventeen sixty seven, one morn St. Luke's Church was born In the living room of Bradley Farm the sturdy farmers felt safe from harm. Morning prayer they were fed as no priest on hand to led Until the circuit rider arrived then all were married, burried and baptized. The Puritans no symbols decried so St. Luke's the pilgrims defied A Christmas tree they had in a Puritan state it was bad. Today we serve the town and those surrounding found Our focus is on healing all So that everyone may hear the call. To grow, to worship, to study is our mission.
